A Deplorable Week (9/15/16)

Since Kellyanne Conway took the reigns of the Trump campaign as campaign manager on August 17th, the candidate has become somewhat more disciplined, with a greater focus on prosecuting the case against the Obama/Clinton record.   Together with overtures to tempt the resisters in the Republican base and (perhaps) Black Americans in the inner cities (“what do you have to lose”), the polls have suddenly tightened in this most unpredictable  of elections.    But the affect of these Conway-directed strategems toward tightening the polls, may end up paling in comparison to the impact of the blunders committed by Hillary Clinton; intentional or inadvertent, in this “deplorable” week that could very well become a watershed in the race for the White House.

The first pothole on the Pennsylvania Avenue Express occurred at the Commander-in-Chief Forum  on Wednesday of last week, sponsored by NBC and MSNBC and hosted by the usually reliable Matt Lauer of the Today Show.   In light of Mrs. Clinton’s refusal to hold an actual press conference for around 280 days now, and her penchant to grant one-on-one interviews only to syncophantic media toadies, it is obvious that HRC despises uncontrolled  media events where uncomfortable inquiries may be posed!   She no doubt felt cozy with Lauer as the Grand Inquisitor.   But to her surprise, Mr. Lauer committed “random acts of journalism” (with apologies to Rush Limbaugh) by beginning the interview in asking tough questions about Hillary’s home-based email server and the classified communications that were directed to it in her role as Secretary of State.   Clinton responded, Pavlovian-style, with the old and tired mistruths that she never sent or received classified communications on her server; that no email bore headers marked “Top Secret”, “Classified”, etc.   The same old lies….debunked by FBI Director Comey and evidenced by the fact that even many members of Congress lack the required security clearance to view some of these messages!

Clinton appeared defensive and annoyed throughout her thirty minute interview, including when responding to questions about world events during her tenure as Secretary of State.

The Left subsequently piled on Matt Lauer, claiming he wasn’t hard enough on Donald Trump during his following interview.    Well, it’s a little easier to defend questionable words rather than questionable actions, isn’t that true?   When the Usual Suspects start tearing into one of their own, you know Mrs. Clinton did not have a good night!

The second bump on the road to the Oval Office was met on Friday night, when  Hillary Clinton gave a planned, scripted address to an audience of super-elites:  a mega-dollar-a-plate dinner of Manhattan LGBT high-roller arts people sponsored by Barbara Streisand.   It was in that venue where Hillary delivered her now infamous “Basket of Deplorables” comment:

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic,  you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I would call a basket of deplorables.  Right?      The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic – you name it.    And unfortunately, there are people like that.     And he has lifted them up.   He has given voice to their websites that used to have 11,000 people – now 11 million.   He tweets and retweets their offensive, hate filled mean-spirited rhetoric.   Now some of those folks are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America.”

Hillary Clinton’s pre-planned and prepared slur postulates that HALF of Trump’s supporters – more than 30 million Americans, are IRREDEEMABLY bigoted and ignorant.   (She later fudged on the percentage of the damned, but did not offer an alternate number).   Her declaration trashes those U.S. citizens that hold traditional values and deeply-held religious views that now conflict with the latest social trend.   Those that continue to cling to these beliefs are to be consigned to be pariahs in their own land, rejected by the powers-that-be and destined to be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness!

Her statement labels anyone a “xenophobe” – a fear of strangers, to those who protest the mass incursion into the United States of millions of illegal aliens through an uncontrolled border, who are overloading the health and education systems, taking jobs from Americans looking for work and lowering the average wage of working Americans.

Her comment paints anyone an “Islamaphobe” who; in looking at what is happening in Europe, questions the wisdom of the entry into America of thousands of unvetted refugees from countries infested by ISIS.   The terror army has flatly stated that they intend to infiltrate the West by being interspersed among the refugees fleeing from the war in Syria!   On top of that, it has been revealed that ISIS had gained control of the Syrian government’s passport presses and software, making any attempt to verify the true identity of nominally Syrian refugees well-nigh impossible.   Yet to question the Obama/Clinton stance on this issue is the height of religious bigotry!

By her Basket of Deplorables declaration, Hillary Clinton has slandered a large percentage of the population of America – that “cling to their God, guns and religion.”   (Remember that?)   Will this speech be her “47% of the population” gaffe, like what was hung on Mitt Romney in 2012?

A cardinal rule of politics: trash your opponent, not the citizens supporting your adversary.   Clinton has deliberately broken this rule.   Why?    Is it because she never thought she could snare these voters anyway and was seeking a cheap laugh from a like-minded audience?   If true, that may have amounted to a foolhardy luxury as these remarks could have the counter-affect of uniting stray Republicans to vote for Trump.   Or, was Clinton’s provocative declaration uttered to gin-up her own base, which polls have revealed may be lacking in enthusiasm for her candidacy?

Donald Trump responded to Mrs. Clinton’s speech by stating that if elected president, he would strive to be the president of all the citizens of America, even for those who didn’t vote for him.   Is Hillary Clinton positioned to make the same promise?

While the second flub in Hillary’s deplorable week was premeditated, the third impediment to her inauguration definitely was not.    Speculation about Mrs. Clinton’s health has been rife for weeks, aided by images of the soon-to-be 69-year old candidate being helped up the stairs while being supported by an aide on each of her arms, and of her seven minute coughing incident during a speech in Cleveland on September 5th.    But the health-of-Hillary issue went nuclear at the 15th anniversary memorial of the attack at the World Trade Center on Sunday, September 11th!

The video of Hillary Clinton’s knees buckling (or her right leg locking and freezing) as she stumbled off the curb, losing her shoe and being thrown into the van “like a side of beef”, would have been lost to history if not for the prying eye of the ubiquitous, iPhone armed, citizen-journalist corps!   The fact that Hillary would have fallen flat on her face if not surrounded by aides would have been vigorously mocked by the Clinton campaign and their media lackies as another cracked-brained alt-right conspiracy theory,  if not for the existence of the video.  These images are the 2016 version of Monica’s blue dress!

The usual Clinton cover-up was in force on that 77 degree and breezy morning even before the fact; perhaps HRC’s handlers were anticipating that all might not be right that morning, as the press pool assigned to her was roped-off far from their subject.   Only via a fast spreading rumor did they learn that Mrs. Clinton had suddenly departed the scene, before even 50% of the ceremony had taken place.   Then the media found out that her departure was due to some sort of medical emergency.   It was not until 90 minutes later that the press pool first learned of Clinton’s fate, as the reporters’ calls to Hillary’s handlers went unanswered – that is until they got their stories straight!   In the meantime, the video surfaced and went viral. After the 90-minute media blackout, Hillary’s flacks finally proclaimed that Mrs. Clinton had departed because she was “overheated”, then because she was “dehydrated”, only later did they concede that the candidate was suffering from “pneumonia” – allegedly diagnosed on Friday, September 9th; two days before!

If Hillary’s handlers anticipated that all wasn’t well with their candidate that morning (and if so, why didn’t they insist that she was properly hydrated both before and at the ceremony?), they obviously did not relay their concerns to the Secret Service.   Clinton’s sudden extraction fron the scene resulted in the Secret Service committing the most grievous cardinal  error of their tradecraft in regard to guarding a protectee in a public setting: they failed to have  transportation instantaneously available to whisk away the candidate from the crowd. A review of the video reveals Hillary Clinton propped up against a concrete pillar at the curb for at least 20 seconds; as if trying to hail a cab like a common Manhattan commuter, until the black van arrived.   The fact that Mrs. Clinton was exposed like a sitting duck for that length of time, speaks volumes of the Secret Service’s surprise of Hillary’s sudden distress.

Another breech of Secret Service protocol was the fact that HRC was not immediately taken to the nearest hospital emergency room but instead whisked (without the required NYPD escort) to daughter Chelsea’s flat at Gramercy Park some 2.5 miles away, through the maze of teeming Manhattan streets.  It’s obvious that the Secret Service’s rules and concerns over Mrs. Clinton’s own medical status were “trumped” by Hillary’s handlers (or the candidate herself?) when her convoy was ordered instead to Chelsea’s mansion, where she later emerged for a photo-op with a little girl; fresh as that day’s breeze, a couple of hours later!    It’s obvious why proper medical care was shunned;    details of Clinton’s diagnoses, treatment and medical history might leak out!   But how did Hillary make such an apparent dramatic recovery from her “dehydration” in such a short time at Chelsea’s?   By drinking a liter of spring water?   Or by the administration of a hypodermic injection of some sort of neurological stimulant?

The fourth potential detour to the White House in Mrs. Clinton’s deplorable week is the cover-up of her swoon – with Hillary it’s ALWAYS the cover-up!!    Why wasn’t the press immediately informed that the candidate had taken ill and was leaving?   Why was the fact that HRC was (allegedly) diagnosed with pneumonia two days earlier not revealed until after the incident – when the campaign was forced to?   Why hasn’t her handlers responded to questions on why Hillary has been seen increasingly unable to ambulate unaided?   Why have few details been revealed as to what caused Clinton to fall in 2012 and suffer such a substantial concussion that it caused a subdural hematoma – a brain bleed, that had to be surgically evacuated and was followed by a tough six-month recovery period, in Bill Clinton’s own words.   It was that incident, of course, that Hillary cited over thirty times as the cause of her alleged lack of memory during her FBI interview on July 3rd.

On the day following September 11th, former Obama chief-of-staff David Axelrod criticized the Clinton canpaign’s handling of the incident at Ground Zero by stating: “antibiotics can take care of pneumonia.   What’s the cure for an unhealthy penchant for privacy that repeatedly creates unnecessary problems?”

In a phone interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Mrs. Clinton responded to Axelrod’s comments and claimed that she thought her medical incident was “not going to be a big deal”.    When asked about her prior history of these swoons she stated:

“I think really only twice that I can recall.   You know, it’s something that occurred a few times over the course of my life,  and I’m aware of it and usually can control it.”

Subsequently, CBS showed their undying loyalty to Hillary the Inevitable during an interview of Bill Clinton by Charlie Rose, by subsequently scrubbing his use of the word “frequent” in describing how often his wife experienced these episodes.

The accumulation of all of this evidence raises further questions.   Clinton’s problems at Ground Zero was attributed to dehydration secondary to pneumonia.   Was she also suffering from pneumonia during the “few times over the course of (her) life” that she suffered these other incidents?   What medical condition causes dehydration without any other underlying medical condition?   Were these incidents actually caused by a neurological condition rather than dehydration?   It is well known that Parkinson’s Disease can develop secondary to a blow to the head, such as her severe 2012 concussion.    If she lost her balance at the curb due to her right leg locking and freezing; as it appeared in the video, that could be a symptom of Parkinson’s Disease.

There also has been speculation on why Clinton was wearing those super-dark blue sunglasses when no one else in her entourage was wearing sunglasses.   Could these glasses have been anti-seizure sunglasses – particularly Zeiss F113 blue protective lenses prescribed to seizure patients, which are specially engineered to filter out the color red, the most seizure-provoking color?   Is Hillary Clinton suffering from a seizure disorder secondary to her 2012 concussion and are seizures causing these incidents?

Perhaps there is a more overriding reason for the Clinton campaign’s “privacy penchant” than even David Axelrod is privy to!

The latest polls show Donald Trump now leading in Ohio, Florida Nevada, Iowa and North Carolina; surging in New Hampshire, Colorado and Virginia and even making Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin competitive.   Much of this  sudden turnaround can be attributed to Trump’s new found discipline controlled by the steady hand of Kellyanne Conway.    However, an even greater percentage of Trump’s new gains, and Clinton’s new losses, can be explained by the sputtering of Hillary’s own campaign.  And her fortunes are not going to be helped by the episodes that occurred in her Deplorable Week!!!
